Beach babes
We had our first family trip this past week. We went to Avila Beach. It was awesome! The weather was beautiful and the kids loved it. If you haven't been it is a great low-key place for kids to play and enjoy the beach. We still have friends that live in SLO and we are so jeoulous of you! You know who you are!...We had a great thanksgiving with Jake's family. For those of you who don't know my sister-in-law, Jacob's brothers wife, is having twins! She finds out next week what they are having. I will keep you posted. It is neat to share this special time with her, since it is so vivid for me. My kids are growing up! It is so fun...and crazy.

Ellie live in concert "A La Roof"
Well Jacob re-roofed our patio since there was one leak and so he decided to do the whole thing. Haven't had rain yet, so hopefully it will pass the test. Well, Jacob let Ellie on the roof with him and let me tell you what a little air conditioning unit can do to a 4 1/2 year old! Of course Jacob had our solar powered radio up there with country music playing. Ellie was loving it! She knows a lot of songs and especially country! She knows even the artists names! She would dance up there and was performing like a real star! I took some pics of the view from our roof. The trees were just starting to change color. It is really pretty to see. Ellie asleep on the couch. What a day! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Halloween
Halloween was filled with sweets, the boys first sucker, Ellie cheering all night long, people asking us, "so what are your boys?"...they are army boys, hence the camo and painted faces by dad. It was an easy costume and they loved it! The best was having the trick or treaters come to our house. We had a steady flow of kids ringing our doorbell. Stay tuned for next year...

Pumpkin Time
As we were heading home from school today we passed this way cool pumpkin patch and I pulled the car over. They had a mini bounce house, perfect size for the twins, a maze made out of hay that was as tall as the twins...way safer so I can see them...a mechanical bull(that must be a valley thing) Ellie wanted to ride it and so I told her to go ask the lady. The lady said she didn't feel comfortable operating it, she wasnt' quite sure how to work it, oh dear! Well we left with 3 pumpkins, a nice skid rash mark on coopers face from falling, and 3 hungry tired kids ready for dinner, and no daddy to come home too! He is in Arizona till Thursday for work...we miss you. Happy Fall! (Cooper is in the jacket, James in the white onesie)

"Cafe Dean"
We are loving the kitchen! The fact that last night Jacob stayed up till 1 A.M. to install our new gargabe disposal and do all the plumbing to hook up the sink, I must say my husband is
"da man!" Now, I can fully utilize my kitchen without having to run outside to wash dishes or in the bathtub. Modern amenities I don't know how people do without them!

Cabinets painted!
So, Jacob painted our cabinets this past weekend, it was quite an ordeal, he sprayed them with a sprayer and then had our whole lawn set up looking like a cemetery with plots of cabinets all over it standing up! He did a great job! We decided to go with a darker color on the bottom because we wanted our counter tops to pop more. Jacob is quite the designer, it was his idea. Counters should be installed this week! We still have to put on our hardware so will keep you posted. Oh, and the new microwave...installation by Jake.
